Ebay took 39% of my money?

I recently sold my items for $705, as shown on my 90 day total, but my total funds are $444. Why did they take so much money? I understand there is a fee, but this cannot be it!

    @lucasworrel

    That sounds frustrating.

Your "available funds" are a running total, so there may be other fees from other listings and sales intermingled. Each payout can cover multiple transactions.

From your gross sales (Price + Shipping, if any + Sales Tax) eBay will deduct

Sales Tax (remitted to the state)

    Shipping labels

    Final Value Fees FVF

    Insertion fees (if any)

    Promoted listing fees (if any)

    Store Fees  (if any)

     etc.

There is a nice video on this page about how to find your fees: https://export.ebay.com/en/fees-and-payments/seller-fees/

Here is a help page where you can learn about selling fees:

    https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/selling-fees?id=4822

All of the deductions should be listed here:

    https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/transactions

Please look at the breakdown here of your payouts here:

    https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/summary

If you click PayOut ID here, it will have a complete breakdown of that Payout:

    https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/payouts

When "the Buyer pays for shipping", that money is given to you/the seller.

    - Then you pay for the shipping label.

    - The amount the buyer pays for shipping could be more or less than the actual final shipping cost, it is based on the settings chosen in your listing when you created it.

    - The amount you pay for shipping is based on the actual final shipping details you enter before you click to print a label.

If you copy your numbers here we can help.

(PS did you buy extra shipping labels you didn't use? Did you "promote" any of your items?)

I promoted some, but enough to have 40% taken from me, what do you mean by numbers?

Everything will be listed here, you could copy these numbers

    https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/transactions

Or these numbers from "financial overview"
    https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/reportslanding

Look at the deductions, they will all be there, in detail.

If you promoted at 10% + Final Value Fees of ~14% = 24% already

You have sold 14 items, but possible the Nintendo Switch was sold twice?

From your gross sales (Price + Shipping, if any + Sales Tax) eBay will deduct

    Insertion fees (if any)

    Promoted listing fees (if any)

    Store Fees  (if any)

     etc.

Be sure to always enter the correct weight and dimensions when you list your item.

--- New sellers sometimes buy to many shipping labels.

I can't tell anything without seeing your numbers.
