EBay supprting scammers!! Claim/appeal denied with UPS proof
I had opened a claim on an item not received. On the last day the seller put in a tracking number showing it was delivered that day. Problem is the tracking number they provided was from Amazon and that it was for a completely different person and item. But because they live in the same city as me, it shows delivered on Ebay. My claim was denied and I submitted an appeal with proof from UPS showing that the # the seller provided was not a tracking number to me or my address. Ebay denied the appeal stating that the item was likely left at a neighbors and to check around or contact UPS... I have already called UPS they confirmed that the tracking number given was NOT me or my address.. further more the item was in a tiny box where as what I ordered was furniture and should be in a huge box.. they still denied me stating the item was delivered **bleep** is this and how much more proof do they need that the seller put in a fraudulent tracking number!! This item was over $100 and I don't know what else to do as I paid directly on eBay not PayPal.
I'll even add all the pictures I had in my Appeal. First is the tracking provided by the seller. Second is the label from UPS showing it was not my name nor my address that the package was sent to.. third is the picture from UPS showing the delivered item (which is obviously too small for furniture) attached to the tracking number provided by the seller. Third is a picture of what the furniture actually looks like in the box (I ended up buying from Wayfair since I got scammed from the seller)
All of this and they keep denying my appeals what more proof do they need?!!! They appeal people keep saying it was delivered to me.

Mentor2 years agoEbay is aware of this scam, and usually refunds when the appeal includes a statement on carrier's letterhead that the tracking number is not associated with your address. Get this from your local UPS office/store.
You also can try the following:
Send a private message with this information here:
facebook.com/eBay/
or
twitter.com/askebay
Otherwise file a dispute with the payment processor providing this information.

OP2 years agoSo I did that and even contacted through FB channel. The ebay person on FB basically told me that it was denied because the seller provided proof it was delivered to me. But I showed them the paperwork from UPS stating that the package was labeled for a completely different person... they still denied me. This is absolutely horrid they know this is a scam and yet still support these sellers scaming others
