Ebay store in Private Mode?

Hi! Can I keep my new ebay store private until I am done setting it up with listings? If so, for how long? I just need time to create my banner, post items, etc. Thank you for the suggestions. Newbie

Once you have an item listed, you can put yourself on time away for up to 30 days. Select pause sales and your items will not be seen in search. You can only used the fixed price format - auctions are not hidden.

There really is no reason to hide your items - if you list a few items each day, you'll have some items showing in a search sorted by newly listed.
