eBay stole my shipping fee
It’s been years since I sold anything through eBay. Apparently the shipping has changed. The customer paid $80 for the item and $40 shipping. I do not have a printer or scale. I shipped the item myself, had to build a box to fit this item to keep shipping around $40. Seller receives item, eBay pays me only $68. I paid $42 for shipping out of pocket. Now I can’t seem to figure out how to get that $40 for shipping back. eBay doesn’t get to keep that $40 do they?

Mentor5 months agoBuyer pays item price + shipping + sales tax. ebay sends you the item price + shipping less final value fee. You can pay for shipping wherever you wish, since you received the shipping. If you use ebay shipping, you can specify that the cost comes out of your pending payout or from your Paypal account. You can either use your printer to print out the label, or receive a QR code that you show to the clerk at the carrier and s/he will print out the label for you.

OP5 months agoDid you get that straight off the website? I don’t think you covered my problem. And I don’t have a PayPal account anymore btw. But if I did I wouldn’t use it for this. This was the most
simple way to get the package out.
