eBay stealing funds from customers
it seems that eBay is now "automatically" making payments for our customers without their consent. eBay just takes the funds and pays us (which we DID NOT approve of even though eBay "customer service" is telling our customers that our account is now set up that way!!) How do we get eBay to let customers decide how and when to pay themselves?

Mentor2 years agoCheck your Buyer Requirements at the bottom of the page. You can choose whether to require immediate payment for auctions and offers, or not.

OP2 years agothanks - we tried that already but we don't have the "IMMEDIATE PAYMENT" requirement checked. Was told by eBay that this "new policy" is going into effect for sellers that sometimes have "unpaid items" and this will allow eBay to "have buyers auto-pay so no unpaid item claims have to be processed" - BUT eBay "picks & chooses" which buyers to do this to - some of them are buyers that have purchased from us for YEARS that we never had a problem with.

Mentor2 years agoeBay picks which buyers are subject to the overall requirement, but each seller can still choose whether it is required of those buyers making an offer or placing a bid, and opt out of it entirely.
Check your Buyer Requirements at that link.
