ebay started charge my bank account for shipping labels
Hi,
Today I noticed that shipping label creation is charged right away from the linked bank account. As far as I remember this operation just decreased sold lot price.
This way I have to pay income tax on shipping expenses, haven't I?!
Otherwise shipping cost is charged twice.

Mentor1 year agoShipping costs are never charged twice. You purchase one label and it is deducted once, no matter where the funds come from. The the end of the year, shipping charges are an expense you deduct from your gross sales. It doesn't matter where they are paid from.

Mentor1 year agoShipping charges are a deduction from the income you receive from the sale. The buyer pays you the item price plus the shipping charge (and sales tax which you do not receive) and this is the amount reported on the Form 1099. It does not matter how the shipping charge is paid as the total amount received is considered as income.
