·3 years agoThat is true. eBay standard envelope carries a proprietary ESUS tracking number that can only be read by USPS sorting hubs, not by USPS agents. The envelope can not receive a local acceptance scan or a local delivery scan and tracking will only follow the envelope as it passes through major hubs. When it reaches the hub nearest the destination, it returns to the normal mailstream and there is no further tracking, although the final hub may issue a delivery notice with the estimated delivery date. It may take up to 3 days to get from the last hub to the recipient, depending on the route traveled.
Generally, if a buyer sees a "delivered" notification, it was estimated by the hub and the item may show up the same day or a couple of days later.
