eBay Standard Envelope Shipping Question
I am getting several buyers contacting me saying that their cards are delivered but they have not received the card. This has only been when using the shipping service “eBay standard envelopeâ€. I have refunded every one of them to get the issue resolved in a timely manner but I hate the fact that each of them are either scamming me or the USPS is not delivering the envelopes. I have checked the tracking and each show “delivered†and the USPS says there is nothing they can do. I have refunded at least 10 buyers in March and close to 30 for the year so far. Do you use this service and do you refund the buyer when they make this claim that the card was not delivered? For years I used the more expensive service of 1st Class with tracking and then Ground Advantage and still give buyers that as an option but everyone of course chooses the eBay Standard envelope for orders under $20. I am looking to hear if this happening to other sellers. I am stuck between trying to sell and keep things affordable and eat the cost of these issues or raise the price for all my listings?

Mentor2 years agoThe "tracking" on the ebay standard envelope is "read" by the sorting machines as they go though traveling by the seller to the buyer. Therefore, the tracking will show DELIVERED several days before the post office actually delivers the envelope. If the buyer files an Item Not Received case, you can do the following:
