Ebay standard envelope orders way past estimated delivery dates

I have many orders that I shipped Ebay standard envelope that are 3 weeks or more past their estimated delivery. Is this common? Is Ebay standard envelope unreliable?

The ebay standard envelopes are "read" by the scanners at the sorting machines, so make sure the size and thickness meet the requirements. Then they are sent to your local post office for final delivery. That is why they show as DELIVERED several days before actually being delivered to the buyer.

Are you sure that they have not been delivered? The Standard Envelope is considered Metered Mail and only gets scanned at specific sorting centers and not at every stop. It may never show the package as delivered or can show delivered but it takes several more days until actual delivery. This is a USPS problem and not an eBay problem.
