eBay Standard Envelope not scanned by carrier?
Got a non-scanned strike for an eBay Standard Envelope that was handed directly to a clerk at the post office. I already know how bad the eBay Standard Envelope tracking SUX, but how can I dispute this?

Mentor4 months ago@kobasloot A postal worker can NOT scan the ESE envelopes. Did it finally get a scan? Has the buyer filed a not received refund request case?
eBay Standard Envelope is a Metered Mail shipping method and the tracking can only be read by the sorting equipment. You can't look it up on the USPS site like regular tracking you have to use this tracking tool> https://www.trackmyshipment.co/
If a buyer files a not received refund request then you can file an insurance claim to get your money back. See this link>

For future shipments I recommend dropping your envelopes in the metered mail box at your post office.
You can also review this post by a fellow Mentor that has screenshots of proper packing as the envelope must remain flexible enough to easily bend around standard coffee mug to be read by the sorting equipment. The example is for coins but the same rule applies for post cards and trading cards. A high volume card seller said that he uses a few sheets of standard printer paper around the card to protect it.

OP4 months agoThank you for that, but I am already aware; perhaps I misstated the issue... I hand stuff to the USPS over the counter at the main Camden NJ Post Office. I send stuff out via First Class, Media mail, metered mail (ESE), Ground Advantage and Priority. I'm at the Post Office 2, 3 times a week over lunch. All my scan-ables get scanned at the counter. The metered stuff goes into a black hole. Normally I'll see it pop-up with tracking in a couple days when it gets sorted at Bellmawr NJ or Philadelphia PA, but very, very, VERY often it doesn't show-up until it's well on its way, and sometimes not until delivery... It's a USPS problem - I got that... What eBay did is just give me a hit to my Seller's performance because of the USPS screwing-up. What I want to know is how to appeal that strike with eBay. It only happens once a year or so, but it's annoying, and it hurts my metrics.

Then Type PAYOUT In the chat bot box on the lower right. ( don't add anything else in the chat box, this is to get you past the bots)
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.
