eBay standard envelope!
Summary: naim21182012 warns sellers against using eBay Standard Envelope, citing two experiences where buyers claimed non-receipt of items, leading to unresolved complaints. They criticize eBay for promoting the service but not supporting sellers when issues arise, advising others to invest in tracked shipping instead. They question if others have had similar problems.
WARNING to all sellers: stay away from eBay Standard Envelope
eBay Standard Envelope is hands down the worst shipping option on this site. I've used it exactly twice, and BOTH times the buyer opened a "didn't receive my item" complaint. Two for two.
eBay pushes this service like it's a great deal for sellers, but when something goes wrong, you're completely on your own. I reached out for help and got nothing. They offer the service, they print the label, and then they wash their hands of it when it fails.
Save yourself the headache. Pay the extra couple of dollars for real tracked shipping. It costs less than refunding an item and eating a complaint on your account.
Never again. Has anyone else been burned by this?

Mentor1 week agoThe ebay standard envelopes are "read" by the scanners at the sorting machines in the hubs, which is why there are size and thickness requirements. Then they are sent to your local post office for final delivery. That is why they show as DELIVERED several days before actually being delivered to the buyer.
You can try tracking the envelope at any of these sites:

If you have to refund the buyer for an Item Not Delivered case, you can get reimbursed here:
