Question

The tracking is not too efficient. We have had to either wait for the buyer's feedback or call the buyer to find out if it arrived. Seems as though these items miss the screening process by the USPS. Maybe the eBay coding is not sufficient

eBay Standard Envelopes sometimes don't get full tracking like you would get with Ground Advantage.

You can maximize the scanning by

1) dropping the envelope in the 'Metered Mail' slot

2) Making sure your envelope is flexible enough to fit through the machines. Here is a guide to shipping with eBay Standard Envelope

eBay Standard Envelope doesn't get scans in the same way that Ground Advantage or Priority Mail get scanned, ESE is scanned by machinery. If the item doesn't go through the machines, it doesn't show tracking.
