Ebay sold me fake shoes
I bought some $1000 shoes and eBay authenticated them, THEY WERE FAKE!!!! Given partial refund because it passed authenticity guaranteed but representative acknowledged they should not have passed and should have been marked with defects. He suggested to resale on eBay instead of fully refunding. Still out $400+ is there anything that can be done through eBay? Do I have to just take the loss?Â

Mentor2 years ago@beez-8531  You should be able to file a refund request for not as described. Doesn't match pictures or description as the reason.  I wouldn't select doesn't seem authentic for the reason since they passed but you should mention that in the text in the return request

You have 30 days from date of delivery to file an item not as described refund request on eBay.
Select the return item button on this page: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item?id=4041
Doesn't match pictures or description. Â
4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label OR sent the funds to your PayPal account to pay return shipping if they are in another country then ask eBay to step in and help:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
If you have to purchase a label at the post office with the funds that the seller provided be sure to upload the tracking number into the case. The tracking number is your proof of delivery.
Returns to countries that do not have 1st class delivery confirmation MUST be shipped Priority Mail.
See this link to the USPS website that shows which countries have delivery confirmation for 1st class international packages.

OP2 years agoThis is what i did, even requested refund for defects. and representative acknowledged they had them. They said because it passed Authenticity Guaranteed they cannot refund. For eBays error I was refunded 530.00 but that half of the price. The representative said I should try to sell them to get the rest of my money back.Â
