Ebay sided with buyer for expensive return when I have picture evidence

Customer returned a motor that was obviously used and abused, info plate indicates this is a motor made on a different day. It seems that they replaced it with their old one. After my appeal and with pictures for proof, Ebay CS still sided with the customer so Im out $750. What are my options? I am considering taking down my marketplace, and seeking legal action to get my money back.

You don't have options except to sue the buyer and their defense would be to say they returned exactly what they received and you're trying to scam them. Neither of you have proof. Pictures aren't proof of anything. The case would be thrown out.

This is what happens when you have a thieving buyer. You get the shaft. The could return an empty envelope instead of the motor and you would still be forced to refund. You get to write it off on your income tax. Be sure you block this buyer.

You will need to open a police report for fraud in the buyer's town. A copy of this report with an appeal is the only thing that will get ebay's attention for reconsideration. You also can use it for a small claims court action.
