Ebay should start doing what whatnot is doing, they are a horribly ran company with bad support.
I tried whatnot the other day and spent a few hundred on first auction, then spent 1200 on second auction. The first one arrived, but the second one was delivered to the wrong address, the seller did nothing wrong. When I reached out to support they instantly tried to deny me any buyer protection, until I showed them its actually in their buyer protection policy that misdelivered packages are covered by buyer protection, and I had to escalate. I do a lot of auction sites and have never ran into anything this crazy where the buyer was just stuck with the bill when they did nothing wrong and didnt get the item. Then I realized, if Ebay added a feature that did live video auctions to their platform, then I guarantee sellers would move over here. Its more established and has all the guidelines already in place.
