eBay Shipping Services US version
Only about 50% of the items I ordered that are shipped this method arrive to me. I end up waiting a month, and then get my money back. I live in a suburban area of a major city so, delivery shouldn't be an issue. Any chance eBay gets rid of this option. I would gladly pay the extra dollar to ship if it means that the item actually arrives. This is absolutely ridiculous.

eBay doesn't do any shipping. They offer a service to sellers to print there labels online for USPS, UPS, and FedEx. That's it. The seller gets their shipments to the carrier they use. Once the seller ships the item, it's in the carrier's hands. Something is clearly wrong if you are only receiving 50% of your orders. I've shipped over 70,000 items via USPS and none have failed to arrive. None of my purchases have failed to arrive.
Does tracking show delivery? Is it just one carrier that you are experiencing a problem with? If it's one carrier, the problem could be with the carrier.
If I were you, I would check to make sure your address is up to date, and do not fail to review (and change if needed) the displayed address at checkout before you complete payment.

OP5 months agoIt most certainly does sell labels for shipping. It gives a tracking that starts with ESUS and is an option when you are selling lighter, envelope sized items, like cards.

Yes, eBay DOES sell shipping labels (which is what I wrote in my response), but they don't ship items, the seller does.
If you are referring to the eBay Standard Envelope shipping option, there does seem to be more lost shipments with that shipping method but certainly not anywhere remotely close to 50%.
If I were you, in addition to getting my money back by opening item not received cases, I would have a talk with the carrier supervisor or postmaster at your post office and give him the details on how many packages you are not receiving. Providing the tracking #s will also help. The problem might lie with your post office.

Mentor5 months agoWhat method of shipping are you referring to? I only know that US sellers use USPS, Fed Ex or UPS. I rarely use Fed Ex or UPS because my items are lightweight, and would still use USPS for items up to about 8 pounds. The UPS Store is not that far from me, but Fed Ex would be too inconvenient.
