Ebay is a scam when it comes to fees and now shipping! Looks like I am going back to Pirate Ship after trying ebay as they have been close in pricing but with **bleep** like this they aren't close anymore! 48 oz is 3 lb and price is now more then the original label was! What the! Anybody know if you can dispute a shipping adjustment?

Mentor4 months agoYour problem is your package is 48 inches long. This causes shipping carriers to assess a surcharge due to length and it also makes the package over one cubic foot so you are charged by DIM (dimensional) weight and not the actual weight of the package. These things are set by the shipping carrier and not eBay. When you have a package over one cubic foot you need to click on the "Irregular Package" box on the listing form and when you go to purchase the label so these surcharges are taken into account.

Mentor4 months agoWhen you create the shipping label, you need to select the oversize or irregular package selection. This is important because it triggers the correct amount to be charged to you. (do this when you create the listing and when you ship)
The carrier is bumpting the pounds as a surcharge for missing the irregular package. They are not saying it actually weighs that much. It's the way they charge for the mistakes you made when shipping the item.
