Ebay Shipping, don’t want it!
Is there a way to filter out sellers that only offer ebay shipping so they do not even show on my searches? I refuse to pay extra for a lesser service that has:
longer transit times
higher (ridiculous) prices than USPS/other services
less detailed tracking
Considers my location as international (reason for even higher charges) when it’s domestic for USPS
Ebay shipping may actually be a less attractive option to buyers, so offering as the sole option it may lower chances of purchases to sellers.
Ebay wants to make money off shipping? Fine! Make it an attractive offering that is better than the alternatives! Not a nuisance

Mentor8 months agoSince you are located in Puerto Rico, the least expensive shipping will be through USPS. ebay gives the seller a discount if using ebay shipping, and many sellers do pass on that discount to the buyer. If the seller only uses Fed Ex or UPS, it will cost more to use those services to ship to Puerto Rico.

Mentor8 months agoI don't think you have to try anything so complicated.
When you are scrolling eBay, find something you like, and open the listing, look at the Delivery Cost.
As long as you are logged in to eBay with the name you used for this Post, eBay knows where you are located.
The Delivery Cost will show what you would need to pay for delivery of that item to your eBay-registered address -- assumed to be your home or office?
Even if, say, the item is the perfect sweater or the perfect shoes or the perfect Pyrex baking dish --
if the Delivery Cost is too high, for you, click the "back" button and keep scrolling.
BTW, in general, eBay's negotiated pricing for USPS Ground Advantage and a few other USPS services are lower than the retail prices that a seller would have to pay at his/her local post offices.
The only money eBay makes off shipping is a percentage of the shipping price that buyers pay.
Those percentages range from 6% (guitars) to 15.3% (books, magazines, DVDs, etc.).

Mentor8 months agoEbay doesn't ship anything.
Sellers can choose their shipping labels through Ebay for the shipping services they offer (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) You can see the shipping services the seller uses to ship the item on the listing page by clicking on "See details" next to "Shipping".
