I would not despair yet. Sometimes the postal service seems to go in circles prior to delivery. If the receiving post office was backed up then it went back to a distribution center that had available room for the item. Keep an eye on the tracking but remember that this is a holiday weekend so the next possible delivery day is Tuesday.

The delivery dates are estimates and postal delays do happen. I'd give it a bit more time since it's only 3 days late.
