eBay shipping
I used eBay shipping, and the seller paid the shipping eBay charged to ship. However, the weight eBay used was insufficient, and I was charged back the difference. How is this right? Thanks for any info about how to resolve this.

Mentor1 year agoYou should never use the eBay suggested weight and dimensions since these are based on category averages which may not be appropriate for your item. You are responsible for everything in your listing so you cannot blame eBay for this. The shipper double checks the postage you placed on the package and will demand additional fees for the wrong label weight and dimensions.

That sounds frustrating.
When "the Buyer pays for shipping", that money is given to you/the seller.
- Then you pay for the shipping label.
- The amount the buyer pays for shipping could be more or less than the actual final shipping cost, it is based on the settings chosen in your listing when you created it.
- The amount you pay for shipping is based on the actual final shipping details you enter before you click to print a label.
Be sure to always enter the correct weight and dimensions when you list your item
Don't rely on eBay estimated shipping costs when you list. Use the actual dimensions

Shipping with eBay you receive a discount.
You just have to may sure that all your measurements are correct.
