ebay sent an email asking seller to cancel the order on my behalf
Hello
I have no idea what happened. Opened a new account for my company. Bought an item I was looking for, paid for it and than a day later I received a message stating, that seller cancelled the order because I requested the cancellation. I never asked to cancel the order.
I have contacted the seller and he approved, that he also received the message and that was the reason why he cancelled it.
Can anybody explain, why this happened? Was the first order on this account, around $700 with shipping.

You can contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

I don't have facebook anymore, never had twitter. Got LinkedIN.
If they need to verify my identity, why don't they ask on ebay?! It there a possibility to link my personal ebay profile and this new company one? I had the personal for over 20 years, but had to create a new one for the company.

Mentor1 year ago@l4itsys-0 I am not seeing anything that pops out at me as an issue. Seller looks good. There are no general USPS restrictions for import of this type of item to Austria. I however can't see the more detailed rules that eBay uses.
If you received a message from eBay then chances are they will not be able to tell you anymore.
As for contacting eBay customer service on social media >>>> this is the only way you can contact a US agent since you are located in Austria. The security check on social media is to make sure that someone else is not pretending to be you on social media.
eBay USA does not have email. eBay Austria does not know as much of the details of the eBay International Shipping Program since they are only a receiving country.
You can try working your way through the eBay Austria help pages and then keep typing agent when the chat bot ask you a question.
