eBay seller who hijacks classified ads
I've posted about this before, but it is getting out of hand with a particular seller. What he does is this: he looks on Facebook or Craigslist. He finds things for sale that he thinks will sell on eBay. He lists them on eBay with local pickup wherever they are. Of course, he marks them up 5-10 times what they're listed for on Craigs or Facebook. I assume that when someone "buys" it off him on eBay, he contacts the seller on either CL or FB and acts as a middleman, going between the eBay buyer and the seller of the item, acting like he is a local buyer coming to pick up the merchandise.
This has been going on for awhile and since I'm aware of what he's doing I am catching him doing this. Over 1/2 of his listings are other people's classified ads from other sites. There's no way to actually report him personally to eBay, and there's not a lot of proof other than his listings are from all over the country and I can match them up to the Facebook or Craigslist listings when I search those sites.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make eBay crack down on him? I'm not trying to mess with other people's money, but this is a form of fraud, is it not? Or at least misrepresentation of an item.
