ebay seller protection for refunds
Do not trust Ebay to do the right thing according to their protection for the seller on refunds.
I had a buyer outright lie about the item she bought from me, they said it was broken when arrived but the package was not even dented and it was a metel stem about 1 in in diameter. They when Ebay contacted them the said the description was wrong, which also was not true. Ebay did not look at the package, did not read the description and told me to go fly a kite no refund for me. So now I have a broken item and no refund. This was a $355.00 sale and I cannot afford the loss. I do this to supplement my SS ck, being 89 I never cheated anyone and this unfortunate dissing by Ebay will not encourage me to ever to it I willl suck up the loss and hope others are aware of Ebay saying refunds are given and are not.

·3 years agoIf the item was damaged during shipping and it was insured, you could have filed a claim with the carrier.
There is no protection from Ebay for sellers if an item is damaged and they don't refund you.

·3 years agoWhen a buyer says an item is not as described eBay will take their word for it.

OP3 years agoOh so the buyer is always right when it is the seller that ebay makes its money from. Buyers can pull any scam they want if this is the case.
