eBay seller drop shipping from Amazon.

I purchased some tissues for my car dispenser from an eBay seller a year or so ago. I should have said something then. I want to purchase other items now (not from the same seller) but am hesitant because of that seller’s practices. I received my package from this seller from Amazon(!!!). This seller did this so he doesn’t have to carry any inventor, he probably has Amazon prime so he pays no shipping but he make a profit this way. There are a few problems that can and will arise to the customer. I live in a senior community complex. If items are not sent thru USPS they will have a problem with delivery. The buildings here are Key Card Entry. Amazon has access but they leave any packages next to your door. If you don’t know about it, you probably won’t receive it because most of the delivery’s like this are stolen by homeless or drug addicts that are able to gain entry. The eBay seller isn’t going to tell you that Amazon is delivering and you probably won’t get a tracking number either. If eBay seller’s are doing this it is awful. I don’t know what to say except that I hope this alerts you and you find a way to stop this from happening. Thank you so much.

It may not be possible to always identify in advance those sellers who drop-ship, but it is possible to identify some common characteristics of illicit retail drop-shippers or other under-performing sellers, and thus avoid the worst of them.
Often they can be spotted by a combination of low feedback number, free shipping of heavy items where it would not be profitable to use retail shipping, use of stock photos, high handling time (not necessarily if they are using Amazon or Walmart, though), poor feedback received with complaints of delays and wrong items or out of stock cancellations, very odd item selection and/or quantities like items were chosen at random from a catalog, canned item descriptions scraped from another site that exactly match many other similar listings, differences between registration location on the feedback page and item location (or vague item location -- like "US, United States"), or inability to answer even basic questions about the items being sold.
