eBay said they would step in but nothing has happened
I ordered something that did not arrive. The seller is not responding to my issue. Ebay says they will step in for cases like this. So I asked eBay to do so. But nothing has happened after several days. I would like to get reimbursed. What do I do?

On your Purchase history you should see the See Request details by clicking on the More actions button for the item. It should include messages from the seller and allow you to ask ebay to step in if the wait date has passed without a seller response.

Open the dispute and if there's no info about a refund having been issued posted look for the Ask ebay to step in button and click on it. Check your ebay messages first, in case there is one about a refund there.

You may have to wait longer. I assume you used the Ask eBay to step in via the claim that you did not receive your item right?!?
Sellers have the ability to request an extension of that particular claim and depending on the circumstances eBay will extend the period to 10 days from the date of the Seller's extension request. I used that few times over the years when a package was simply running late.
When you check tracking on eBay does it show ANY movement at all or perhaps delivered but not to you?
Sellers also have a protection if the buy their label through eBay, ship within their stated handling time and refund a Buyer through an official eBay claim for non-receipt ... eBay reimburses them.
So, despite eBay telling you they would step in 48 hours later that may just be an automated reply and the actual time frame, if they need to step in, may vary and be days instead of hours.
