"Ebay" requesting me to buy a Apple or Ebay gift card ($300)...scam?
I feel ignorant about this, but is this a common practice, to be directed to buy a Ebay or Apple gift card as payment for processing a sold item? I have never seen anything like this, and doesn't seem exactly common, or normal
Anyone with information about something similar, please let me know.

As stated, this is a huge SCAM!!
Neither Ebay nor a legitimate Ebay seller would EVER require payment with gift cards.
We see this all the time whereby people are victims of criminals posing as Ebay in order to steal people's money.

Did you find the listing on eBay or another site? eBay has nothing to do with sales on other sites. Report the listing to the site you found it on.

OP2 years agoOn Ebay's site. The address on the messages was "ebaylegitpayments@gmail", I dont see how this is legitimate

Mentor2 years ago@stekno_5771 That's not a real eBay email address. The bad seller sent that and you should report the seller IF you found the listing by searching for an item on eBay.com

Then say in the box how they tried to get you to pay with gift cards and send them to the email you mentioned.
