eBay reported the wrong value of a Damaged Item
I sold an expensive Marantz 4400 receiver this month (April 3, 2026) on eBay for $2800. Despite double boxing and highly positive statements from the buyer on how well it was packed, it was destroyed by UPS and arrived damaged and inoperable at the buyer's home. When printing the shipping label on the eBay site, I paid extra for the full selling price of $2800 to ship by UPS. UPS Damage and Claims Dept tells me that eBay reported the insured value as $999. I have screen shots of the printing label transaction and it clearly shows the insured value to $2800. After hours, the Chatbot AI is worthless to help me. I have been a 100% performer on eBay for over 20 years. How can I get eBay to help me as a seller.
