eBay removing listings, which I have created similar to existing listings
hi, I am having difficulties with eBay removing my listings for vintage perfume bottles. At first I thought it was because some of these 60 year-old bottles have contents and remnants. I reviewed other similar listings and saw they were the same. I use the “sell a similar item “ hoping to avoid whatever defect I was creating when I built the listing on my own. The other seller listings I am reviewing have similar bottles with similar contents. Not only that two of my six listings have been on eBay for roughly 4 to 6 months and have been renewed by eBay over that period of time.
eBay keeps sending me the cosmetics policy regarding this even though they are collectible perfume bottles. I have rewritten and photographed and reloaded, and or added new lots, and even though they are nearly identical in verbiage and items to other seller listings, my listings are removed. I’ve been through the policy bullet point by bullet point and cannot find what the actual problem is. There is no response from eBay when I ask for a specific. Eample if seller X has an acceptable listing for three vintage bottles, one of which has contents, and my listing is for vintage bottles one of which has contents, mine is immediately removed.
what am I doing wrong, and how specifically do I figure out how to correct this? at this point I rather much think it is me as the seller and not the listings itself but I do not know why.
Any ideas? I have been a seller since 1998 and am forthright with my representations and photographs, including flaws.
