Ebay relisting sold out items?

Question

Two items that we sold out of a couple of months ago were relisted as "in stock" with the original quantities and customers purchased them. We had to cancel the orders since they were sold out. Anyone else experience this issue?

We're going to assume there's other items that have been relisted without our authorization or consent and we just have to wait until a customer orders them to find out they've been relisted without our knowledge.

I opted into the Out of Stock option because I often am able to get more of the same item months/years later, or I find more in my inventory. I see that I am Out of Stock, and I see a Restock option. I have never had any of those items automatically relisted by ebay.
