Ebay refusing to honor seller protections
Summary: vis170 reported an issue with eBay regarding seller protections. A buyer forced a return due to buyer's remorse, returning the item incomplete, but eBay issued a full refund to the buyer. Despite attempts to resolve the situation, eBay refused to help after vis170 missed signing an affidavit by one day. They also had an unsatisfactory experience with a supervisor who ended the call unhelpfully.
Options for recourse? Ebay refusing to honor seller protections. Buyer had buyers remorse and forced a return through Ebay. Item was a lot with multiple pieces. Received return with several pieces missing. eBay gave buyer a full refund. They refuse to do any seller protections for me. They sent me an affidavit to sign that went to my junk email and was not found for several days. Now they are claiming that because the affidavit was received one day late that they cannot do anything. The supervisor that I was talking to refused to help and hung up on me.

When a Buyer opens an return request, the Seller has three business days to respond with either a prepaid return label or a refund. Once the items are returned, you would only have two days to issue a full refund or eBay will step in and force the refund from your funds.
Some Sellers are eligible to deduct a percentage of the refund if the Buyer returns the item in a different condition.
Sellers who do not offer returns do not have that benefit.
