Ebay refusing to check shipping info

Question

The shipping says awaiting item while seller says item arrived. Seller sent me a credit card sticker in which the tracking number was different than my order, obviously. Yet ebay agrees with seller while not agreeing with USPS. Anyone else encounter this? How do I take legal action, I feel this is mail fraud which ebay is refusing to accept.

Unfortunately, you have fallen prey to the False tracking number scam. You filed a claim through eBay that you did not receive the item but since tracking showed it was delivered, they ruled against you.

You need to get a document from the Post Office stating that the package was not delivered to your address and then contact eBay with that information to prove delivery confirmation was to a different address than yours. Make sure you tell eBay it was a False tracking number scam.

Depending on the subject, representative availability and other factors requesting a call back may or may not be possible. Chat or an email may be provided. If for some reason eBay does not refund you then you will have to pursue a dispute with your card company or PayPal. Just know that if you do that eBay will not support you at all if you run into issues with the dispute.
