eBay refunded the buyer from my account and the item is delivered!!
Hello,
I am the seller and on OCT 23 the eBay customer support closed a claim in favour of the buyer who claimed that the object did not arrive. Hence eBay debited my account as a seller. fFw hours later, the track number of the item and the eBay tracking system indicated that the buyer has received his order. Consequently, I asked eBay to refund me my money since the item has been delivered and I have accomplished everything in an excellent way from shipping to delivery but no body is responding from the customer support. I have tried writing to the customer support several times during the past 10 days, everybody is dead!! I have tried chating online and the agents told me they will do the necessary but nothing has been done!! The last agent sent me a link to attach a copy of the proof of delivery and from his side he documented my case to the "concerned service" but nothing has come up.
It is a pure shame that eBay refunded the customer from me and did nothing to correct the situation after the the item has been delivered. How that is possible ? I know cases much more complicated than mine; it is as simple as it is, the buyer received his item= my money back. Why eBay is behaving in a such way in total silence like one is writing to a wall ? any ideas how to get back my money ?

If the estimated date of deliver had passed, the buyer had the right to file a Refund Request due to item not received. If you did not respond to the buyer's request and the buyer had Ebay step in to help , Ebay was able to refund the buyer out of your funds and the case was closed.
If the item showed up after the buyer was refunded and the case was closed, neither Ebay nor the buyer are required to repay you.

OP2 years agoThis is not true. The agents assured me that it was 100% simple case and they documented it + when the claim has been closed, the message I received from eBay clearly indicated that if the tracking moves to "delivered" I can contact them back with the new element. The problem is that everybody is dead.
By the way the date delivery mentioned in eBay has nothing to do with the reality as the are not connected to the real traffic transit in real time.

Mentor2 years agoThe estimated date of delivery as shown in the buyer's Order Details is very important because the buyer can file the Refund Request when that date has passed. If you can prove that the buyer DID receive the item BEFORE Ebay had to step in and refund the buyer, then you have a legitimate complaint. Sooo....
1. When did the buyer file the Return Request?
2. When did Ebay issue the refund?
3. When was the item delivered?

OP2 years agoeBay closed the claim in favour of the buyer on OCT 23 and item delivered on OCT 23.
But as stated in my previous message, it does not matter because "a new useful information" appeared as stated by the eBay customer support when I contacted them.

·2 years agoHave you asked the buyer to repay since they did receive the item?

OP2 years agoYes I asked the buyer and he is playing the dead....while he appealed the eBay customer service on Sunday and was active in writing messages now he is dead!!! And the the worse is that eBay is letting such unfairness happening while its rules clearly indicate that we are protected in such cases.. what shall I do to get my money back ?

Mentor2 years agoAs previously stated, if Ebay had to refund the buyer, the case is closed so no one is required to repay you.

OP2 years agoDefinitely not true. This is the message from the eBay customer support on OCT 26 :
" I know that the case is closed now and you've already appealed on the case but you don't have to worry as we have new useful information, I'm sure that once you appeal on the case again, you'll definitely get your money back."

Ebay Customer Service does not always provide correct information.

OP2 years agoI contacted 3 of them and they said the same and sent me a web link to be able to attach the file of the proof of delivery. So I don't think each of them is making the same mistake.
