Ebay refunded money they said they weren't going to
I sold a necklace and it was due to arive between 18th and 22nd of march on the 13th I started getting mean messages from buyer. Saying they wanted a refund because necklace hadn't arrived yet. I explained it wasn't due to arrived and sent screenshot of shipping info to them. I was then told if it does arrive its probably going to be fake. I knew then what they were up to. So she got it the 14th I believe. Earlier than due to. And low and behold I got a complaint saying the necklace was fake. It was plastic. It certainly was not. So they canceled the complaint because it had not arrived and did new complaint that it was fake and they took the picture so you cant tell really what it is. My pics show its not fake. So I called ebay. Was told I would not have to refund money due to them lying and my account says no refunds. But apparently after I got off phone with rep the buyer did something with a different rep and got refunded somehow. I called ebay was told they shouldn't have been and it would get passed up chain and someone would get back to me. Well I haven't heard back. They were refunded. I put in a request for call back after I finally found the link. Big shock... NO RETURN CALL. Now I cant find that link again and cant get to human and the automated thing says nothing I can do. Can't even appeal. Im soooo mad. Every ebay rep I spoke to said I was completely in the right and shouldn't have to refund money. They were even threatening me and ebay rep could see it in my messages.. how do I get back to human or how do I fix this. Someone please help.

I'm sorry you were given incorrect information from an eBay phone Rep. That is not how refund requests work.
EBay has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee. That Guarantee overrides an individual Seller's return policy.
If the Buyer opened an Item Not as Described refund request, even if it's not true, you would have only three business days to respond with either a prepaid return label or a refund.
If you don't respond on time, on the 4th day eBay can step in and force the refund. Once that happens, eBay considers the case closed.
Going forward, once a Buyer opens an Item Not as Described refund request, if a Seller tries to fight that, it really never ends well for the Seller.

OP5 months agoI forgot to put in that part. Ebay rep had me do the return so we could make sure it was the same item I sent. So I paid to have it returned to me like I was told to. It was after that. I talked to ebay again and they went through my conversation with the buyer and said I dont have to refund thier money. Then all of a sudden couple days later buyer must have called ebay because the money was taken out of my account to refund buyer. Called ebay and agent said someone would get back to me and that shouldn't have happened. Never heard back and can't get to a human. I found the call back link yesterday but noone ever called me. Now I cant find the call back link again. AndvThank you for your response
