Ebay Purchase: Item not received reported, then seller changed the tracking # to new one
I purchased a large Bose speaker on Ebay. Â It showed shipped from China immediately and started showing departed port after on August 3rd and in route. Â Then, stopped showing progress but had an August 15th delivery expected date. Â No delivery by August 16th, so contacted Ebay for help, next day seller changed the tracking # to new one and shows it was delivered on August 2nd in a mail box and the shipment now shows started from CA and not China. Â Â No delivery address and obviously no delivery of the item. Â Â

How can the scammers make up a tracking # and change the tracking numbers without a trace ? E-bay AI service says, no help.  Trying to reach E-bay service agents  with no luck.  Anyone experienced such a day light ripoff on Ebay?  Any suggestions to resolve this?
