eBay provided shipping label does not cover cost of shipping
Hey there, I am highly annoyed right now, because I sold two new items on, and I included the weight of the product in the ad. When I was dropping it off at the post office, the woman told me that the postage was wrong, and that I could not pay the additional postage because it was a printed eBay label. She said I am the third person that has been into the post office with a pre-paid Ebay label that was not correct. it seems that there is something broken in the eBay system and I have no idea how to fix the label issue as I’ve already been paid the money for both product with buyer pays shipping. How do I fix this?

There is nothing broken with the Ebay system. You underestimated the shipping costs.
When you list an item for sale on Ebay, you weigh & measure your prepackaged item, making sure you enter the exact weight, rounding up to the nearest half ounce, measure the package in all directions, rounding up to the nearest 1/4" and enter all of those details in the Ebay shipping calculator.
If it costs more than what you have already paid for the label, you will have to pay the difference yourself.

OP3 years agoThank you so much! I would love to do that but don’t know how to pay the difference. Can you please expand? So, when the buyer paid for the label, and I purchase the label through the eBay system, how do I get the money back and how do I print a new label? Or, should I just take it to the post office with no label and pay at the counter? I’m just trying to not be out the money they already paid if I purchased the shipping label through eBay? Does that make sense?

You can void the unused label and print a new label.
