ebay policies on overcharges (and undercharges) for calculated shipping?
Am I correct that if there is a discrepancy between the "calculated shipping" amount estimated in the auction listing, and what it actually turns out to be (and is printed on the label), then either the seller is paying more out of their net profit for shipping, or the buyer has ended up paying more than the shipping actually cost, which is increasing the seller's net profit (in the event of it being higher or lower in actuality). This is assuming no change in terms between buyer or seller, I am merely trying to find out if there are policies in place regarding this.
I know there are many discussions of this, but I'm looking for the most up to date info.
note: I am looking for actual and current ebay policy or protocol if they exist, in terms of the accounting.

Mentor11 months agoIf you are using USPS and input the correct data and then use the correct shipping method, then what you pay and what the buyer pays will be the same, unless you have your shipping preferences to not pass on your ebay discount to the buyer.
Using ebay UPS/FedEx often has problems and is best to use your own account or a free third party account like PirateShip.
