eBay policies hypocrisy
I posted a Labubu from Popmart and eBay took it down for violating policies. The policy said that counterfeit labubus were recalled for product safety. I appealed it and showed the email receipt from popmart as well as a search screenshot where it says popmart hasn’t had any product recalls. Within minutes my appeal was rejected. I called customer service who kept me on hold for a while until I was transferred to a so called expert on the subject. She was immediately condescending which let me know she was aware of the situation and had already decided to reject my request. I tried to explain the situation to which she responded that the decision was final. I don’t resell in the sense that I don’t bulk buy items for the purpose of reselling them. I buy things I like for myself and my family and when we no longer use them I sell them on eBay. For the labubu I wanted different ones, alas I got 2 of the same color. They’re non-refundable so I posted it on here. I’ve sold sneakers that have passed authentication and in 16 years of being an eBayer I never had any problems. Anyway back to the call. I explained all of that and she didn’t care, she said it was a decisions eBay took. I asked how it was possible that with proof my listing was rejected yet there are other obviously counterfeit labubus that state they’re not original still being sold and up right now? She said because they keep listing them when they’re not supposed to and that we can always report the listing. So I did just that. And lo and behold that my report was also rejected saying it didn’t violate any policy! LOL! They contradict themselves. They don’t care about sellers or what proof we submit. Well everyone, I went ahead and removed all my listings. I am closing my account. I hope eBay is the next company that Amazon takes out.
