eBay payout

Question

I have sold an item and shipped it. It shows the buyer will receive the item shortly. I usually get paid after the first scanned USPS update. I have not received payout yet.
eBay is also asking for information like SS# which I am hesitant to give. Do I have a choice? Will this delay payout? It says itâ€™s not urgent until July or something.

Sellers are required to provide their SS# in order to receive their payouts. You will not receive your payout until you furnish the required information.

To verify your bank account, Ebay will need:

Name on the checking account (must match the name on your Ebay account)
Bank name
Routing number
Account number

EDITED TO ADD: Since you are an infrequent seller, Ebay can hold your payouts for up to 30 days.
