Ebay payment
New to eBay & have only sold 2 items but this makes no sense to me.
When a buyer pays eBay, eBay then sends a statement saying " buyer paid & at the bottom it shows you what you'll make off the sale.
My first sale went smooth but this last sale eBay shorted me $22 once deposited it into my account.
1st statement they sent was that the Buyer Paid (and buyer also paid the shipping fee's), and at the bottom I would make $131, but eBay only released $109 into my bank account. I looked but didnt see an explanation as to why I was shorted the funds.
Any ideas?

Mentor2 years agoYou got some fantastic information from @eastlaneave . I would just add that there is a one stop place for you to get all your basic info.
https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/summary
On that link you see all the basics of your money. On the right side is all the details of what goes into your account and what goes out. It is very detailed.
I think you may have forgotten you have to pay your selling fees and for shipping, which would be why your funds were reduced.
The buyer pays YOU to purchase the shipping. You still have to pay for the shipping to the carrier.

Mentor2 years agoThat sounds frustrating.
Your "available funds" are a running total, so there may be other fees from other listings and sales intermingled. Each payout can cover multiple transactions.
1) Is it possible the $22 is a shipping label for your 2nd sale?
2) Those figures are preliminary and won't include your actual shipping label until you have bought the label.
From your gross sales (Price + Shipping, if any + Sales Tax) eBay will deduct
Sales Tax (remitted to the state)
Shipping labels
Final Value Fees FVF
Insertion fees (if any)
Promoted listing fees (if any)
Store Fees (if any)
etc.
There is a nice video on this page about how to find your fees: https://export.ebay.com/en/fees-and-payments/seller-fees/
All of the deductions should be listed here:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/transactions
Please look at the breakdown here of your payouts here:

If you click PayOut ID here, it will have a complete breakdown of that Payout:

When "the Buyer pays for shipping", that money is given to you/the seller.
- Then you pay for the shipping label.
- The amount the buyer pays for shipping could be more or less than the actual final shipping cost, it is based on the settings chosen in your listing when you created it.
- The amount you pay for shipping is based on the actual final shipping details you enter before you click to print a label.
