ebay page abruptly recycles when I try to bid
It seems that only on I try to bid on a particular type of item my computer keeps recycling the page preventing me from bidding? It happens to no other items that I bid on eBay? No bluetooth on, changed laptops, etc. No problem like this anywhere ever except this issue? Thanks everyone!

Mentor3 years agoThere have been previous changes made to eBay's bidding software apparently that has lead to problems.
In some cases, an amount entered into the bidding field can be erased when a new bid is received and the page updates. This has lead to some users being unable to bid at the end of an auction. Previously this bug appeared to be limited to the bid history page, but eBay apparently updated things, and the bug now appears on the item page as well.
The workaround is to click on the bid button without entering an amount first, then enter the amount in the field on the pop-up that appears. The bid amount field on the popup apparently does not suffer from the bid amount clearing bug.
eBay may be trying rolling out additional changes to the bid entry process.
