eBay Package I did not order, again coming tomorrow ~ what do you do?
I bid and won an item in March of 2026, but the Seller never shipped it. Seller initially said label was torn off by post office and the post office reprinted it. Still item never was processed for shipment. No tracking history, etc. After contacting Seller several times, at the last day prior to being able to start the refund process with eBay, Seller refunded me without comment. Case closed.
This week, a month later, I get an email from USPS stating a package was coming. No clue what it was that was coming. Then I get an email from eBay today stating the item mentioned above would be delivered tomorrow, Saturday. Still no communication from Seller. I have not been charged.
I am wondering if Seller somehow printed the wrong label for someone else's package. It is the same tracking number which was supposed to be used for the item I ordered in March. I know the item I originally ordered was sold by the Seller several weeks later because I saw the item and serial number and the winning bidder.
So once this package arrives, should I open it to see what is in it? Ask the Seller if they want to pay shipping to get it back? Contact the Seller now before it arrives and ask what is up? I already found and purchased the same item from another Seller on eBay so I no longer need the item.
