eBay overcharging taxes.
I have noticed since eBay started adding tax at checkout that I am being charged almost twice with my current state's tax rate is. There's no way to contact eBay personally anymore so therefore I guess I will turn it over to the attorney general. Shame on you eBay. You used to be a good site now I'm going to have to take business elsewhere.

Mentor3 years agoBefore you bother the attorney general, understand that sales tax is charged on the item price + shipping in most states so check your calculations. eBay charges sales tax based on the requirements the state imposes on eBay - they don't just make up a number. If your state is requiring eBay to charge the wrong amount, then you'll want to contact your state's department of revenue.
