>eBay order email not sent to seller, when buyer purchased an item
Last Sunday, a buyer tried to purchase a copy of one of my books. The eBay set-up failed to send me an email to inform me (I have checked).
I happened to go into my selling date for something else, and discovered the order, on Friday evening.
As this was more than 4 days after the initial order, the label had been cancelled, resulting in the AI set-up giving me a very Dr Who Dalek-style response of "Go back to orders", every time I attempted to bring up the label, despite going back to orders.
Without the label, I do not have the address to which I must send the item. The eBay set-up refused to give me the buyer's address, "for security reasons!"
In the end, I had to contact the buyer, via the purchase, to explain the eBay failure and request their address, and then add stamps to the package and post it off.
The AI set-up is programmed in such a way that an error, by eBay, like this cannot be reported to eBay!
It appears to be impossible to get through to a human agency to report errors in the system (no doubt, carefully programmed in - by the programmers!)
Has anybody discovered how to report these glitches, which, though seldom, are very annoying and time consuming?
