Ebay opened shrink wrapped product on way to Taiwan and then returned it to me!
Summary: ca-38086 reported receiving a shrink-wrapped product back from an international shipment to Taiwan, opened by eBay during its transit. The product was returned without explanation, causing frustration and confusion.
Hi - I had an unopened product for sale, still in shrink wrap and it was purchased by someone in Taiwan. The shipping label sent it to Ebay International Delivery in Glendale, IL where I assumed it would make its way to Taiwan. However, about two weeks later, it was returned to me and had been opened and resealed with eBay tape! The buyer has been messaging me asking what to do. I have not received any notifications from eBay and shipping tracking still shows it is scheduled to be delivered in Taiwan in June (it's May 26). How can I get a hold of someone at eBay to understand what happened? And also the product being opened from the shrink wrap has devalued it. What can I do about this? Someone at eBay literally opened a brand new product and then returned it to me rather than send it to the buyer...
