ebay online order scam. personal information hacked.
I logged into my ebay account with my logon info as usual. Looked up Canon Rebel XTi EOS cameras new.
Sellers came up with usual information. I selected the camera I wanted, viewed the cart to make sure it was the camera I wanted to purchase, hit check out. Selected gift cards, put the information in. Price was $479. I entered the #'s of 3 $200 gift cards. Watched the balance due go down by $200, expected the last to take the remaining balance. The entire page disappeared! Yep, just gone. So was the balance of the ebay gift cards, $600. If I signed in using my personal account information how am I not coverd by protection? I went to ebay.com.
