Ebay not care
Why doesn't eBay care about sellers and not block buyers who has 26 no pays listed in his feedback just in the past year??? Don't hand me any crap they need to be reported blah blah blah bc I'm sure every single one canceled the sale and under reason for cancelation marked it as BUYER HASNT PAID. I had a buyer last week that did not pay who had close to 30 no pays in the past 6 months alone. What's the point in even marking a reason if eBay is going to do nothing but waste sellers time???

·3 years agoIf the seller had cancelled for non-payment s/he would NOT have been able to leave the feedback for the non-payer. So you are "sure" of something that is not the case.
Buyers complain of being blocked for non-payment strikes on here all the time. eBay does block them when the seller has enabled the block in their Buyer Requirements (speaking of which, you don't say that you have done so, so have you?).
And what is the point of leaving the policy-violating feedback? It didn't keep YOU from having transactions with those deadbeats.

OP1 year agoJust so you know, I block each and every one. But since you bring up "policy violating" feedback I guess we can assume you are the feedback police?

OP1 year agoBTW, yes we can leave feedback after a cancel, I've done it. All cancels aren't for no pay.
inceptions
Mentor3 years agoI expect that NONE of those sellers reported the buyer through an unpaid cancellation. If those sellers don't know that it's a policy violation to leave negative feedback comments for a buyer, they likely don't know about the cancellation process. Or else they don't understand how important it is.
Are you adding the non-payer to your blocked buyer list? On that page down near the bottom, do you have your preference set to auto-block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items within 12 months?

OP1 year agoYes, I block each and every one. Have a buyer right now that asked me on 9/20 if an item had shipped yet. Told them yes and they had left positive feedback. Buyer then admitted he had the item and now today has opened an INR case well past the 30 days and after leaving positive feedback as well as admitting they have the item.

Why are these sellers leaving positive feedback for a non-paying buyer?
When a buyer does not pay, cancel the transaction after 4 days of non-payment have passed, specify "buyer didn't pay".

All unpaid items are recorded on a buyer's account. Buyers who have excessive unpaid items, or canceled transactions, will have limits imposed, or lose their buying privileges.
Place the non-paying buyer on your Blocked Buyer List:

Set your buyer requirements to block buyers who caused cancellations of 2 unpaid purchases within 12 month(s).

OP1 year agoBc we as sellers can't leave negative feedback, positive only and I have had several buyers that did not pay that hd numerous comments they did not pay. I'm sure the vast majority of the sellers did mark as no pay but yet here they are still making bids so what good does it do?

OP1 year agoCan I get a definition of "excessive?"
