eBay no longer supports the seller
buyer emails asking if the price is negotiable, buyer buys item, item ships, buyer asks for refund, receives item, opens return case claiming item not as described and arrived after event at which they were hoping to display it. I speak with ebayer, they say clear case of buyer remorse, not to do anything case will close in my favor. I follow ebay guidance. eBayer closes case allowing buyer to return item.
Where does eBay protect the seller.... eBay states that if the item is claimed it is not as described then the buyer automatically can return the item.

·2 years ago@cara-323 If the item didn't arrive until after the latest estimated delivery date, the buyer can return for refund as Item Not As Described.
See the exclusions and special coverage details in eBay's Money Back Guarantee:

Sellers may opt to refuse the return (meaning they choose to not have the item shipped back at their expense), but they cannot refuse to refund.
eBay’s 30-day Money Back Guarantee for buyers trumps any and all seller-imposed return/refund policies.
