EBAY NEW REFUND POLICY ABUSE
I HAD A CLIENT THAT IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASING REQUESTED CANCELING ORDER AND REFUND OF MONIES, I HAD ALREADY PURCHASED THE SHIPPING LABEL AS I LIKE TO SHIP OUT ASAP TO CUSTOMERS AND I DO IT 7 DAYS A WEEK, WHAT THE HECK, RIGHT I AM HOME WORKING OFF MY COMPUTER.
ANYWAYS, THE NEW POLICY THAT WAS IMPOSED ON ME, I COULD NOT CANCEL ORDER AND REFUND MONEY? I HAD TO UPLOAD MY BANK CARD AND PAY EBAY FOR THE SHIPPING LABEL. THE GIRL FROM WHO KNOWS WHERE???? WHAT COUNTRY???? THICK ACCENT SAID EBAY WILL REIMBURSE ME WITHIN 24 HOURS - 48 HOURS THE MOST. SHE LIED GOT OFF THE CHAT WITH CUSTOMER SUPPORT INDIA AND I WAS INFORMED SINCE I CANCELED THE SHIPPING LABEL - I HAVE TO WAIT FOR EBAY TO GET THE MONEY IN ORDER TO REFUNDED THE MONEY THAT I PAID.
MEANING SHE LIED TO ME OVER THE PHONE - MEANING THAT IF YOU DO NOT PAY EBAY FOR THE GENERATED SHIPPING LABEL - YOU CANNOT CANCEL ORDER AND REFUND BUYER????
OH - WHEN YOU REQUEST CHAT ONLINE REGARDING SHIPPING LABELS THEY WON'T DO IT. YOU MUST RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FROM EBAY FOREIGN CUSTOMER SUPPORT - THEY DON'T WANT ANYTHING IN WRITING IN CASE THERE IS AN INVESTIGATION.
I AM DISGUSTED AND WILL NOT SELL ON HERE - I HAVE A RESTRICTED ACCOUNT - LIMIT TO $5,000 OR 100 ITEMS (WHERE MULTIPLE QUANTITIES USE UP QUICKLY) AND EVEN THOUGH I AM ABOVE STANDARD SELLER AM NOT ALLOWED IN THE GENERAL ADVERTISING PROGRAM - WHICH EQUALS TO NO VIEWS AND SALES IF YOU DO NOT ADVERTISE. I HAVE TO PROVE THAT I AM A GOOD SELLER - IF I AM NOT ALLOWED TO SELL - HOW AM I GOING TO PROVE THAT I AM A GOOD SELLER. BEEN HERE 6 MONTHS - OF COURSE MY DREAMS OF MAKING MONEY FOR CHRISTMAS ARE GONE.

You have 28 days from date of printing to void the label. The USPS will credit your account in 2-3 weeks when they have determined the label was never used.
You can go to your Seller Hub, locate the transaction and select Cancel Order and that will automatically refund your seller, from your funds. When the payment clears, ebay will reimburse you.
To use most of ebay's promotions, you need to subscribe to a store.

You can't call eBay as the customer support reps work remotely and calls are routed to their number. Some reps are more knowledgeable than others. Your best bet is to start here on this forum or use the Help pages (link at the top of every page), and if we can't answer your question, then request a call back.
Buying a label through eBay has no bearing on cancelling a transaction. Just use the cancellation option next to the sold item in your list and select the reason that the customer asked to cancel.

OP10 months agoebay should not be taking out monies out of sellers pockets for cancellations beyond their control as ebay always holds that the buyers are right in every instance and takes their side. Ebay should charge the sellers account and wait for USPS to refund unused label - like they used to do - ebay is never out of money.

eBay doesn't front sellers with money for a label purchased from USPS or other carrier when a seller cancels it. The reimbursement process for cancelled labels is the same now as it's always been.

OP10 months agothat is not true as a previous cancelled shipment label that I did - Ebay charged the online account - not my bank card - Ebay is a trillonaire company and it exploiting it's sellers - specially the new ones - by making them work listing onsite to not sell due to restrictions.
What ebay is doing is fraud - giving investors a number of sellers onsite with trillions of items listed onsite - that never sell with their mandatory ridiculous restrictions - they perfectly know that if you do not pay them their general advertisement fee, you are not placed in searches - not in searches = no sales

eBay sets it's terms, and you agree to them by virtue of using the site. As I stated, you are buying a USPS through eBay. USPS gets the money for the label. When USPS determines the label hasn't been used, they return the money to eBay which eBay refunds to you. USPS determines how long that takes.

OP10 months agowhat are you an ebay employee - agreed to terms - that is why these companies are ripping hard working people left and right - with people like you standing up for them - why did you stop selling? did the terms get to you?

No, I am not an eBay employee. I'm just stating the facts. When you sign up for eBay, you agree to their terms of service, just as you do on every website you use.
Though it's really not anyone's business, I've had a difficult recovery this year from a serious medical situation, but my items will be back in search as soon as I have the stamina to handle daily shipping again.
Like most everyone, I don't like a few of eBay's policies just like I don't like some of the policies other companies have. But most of them I do like, which is why I sell here and volunteer time in the community to help others.

You determine with funding source to use each time you purchase labels. Look for this area of the label creation page...
