EBAY MOTORS WARNING TO BUYERS

Question

I was in the process of purchasing a vehicle.

When sent an invoice, it came to my SPAM folder and stated that the only way to pay was via Ebay gift cards and that I had 2 days to complete the transaction.

Just a heads up to watch for this email as it seems to have been a scam attempt.

Good news was that I did not fall for it, but almost did.

That had nothing to do with Ebay Motors. It is a common SCAM.

Ebay has nothing to do with vehicles advertised on other websites. Ebay would NEVER require payment with gift cards. Ebay gift cards are used when processing a payment for an Ebay purchase.

The "seller" is actually a criminal trying to steal your money. Report the phony ad to whatever website you used to find the vehicle.

@the1dream_96 Yes that's a common SCAM! eBay has nothing to do with sales on other sites.
Report the listing to the site you found it on. Let me know if you found the listing on eBay.com.
