eBay Money Back Guaranty
Hello, I have interest to purchase a camera on eBay and the listing mentions Money Back guaranty. The seller has ZERO feedback, and the buy it now price is over $2,000. So I am a bit nervous to proceed with the purchase in case the camera may never arrives. So, how can I feel confident to proceed with the purchase? Clearly I don't want to lose $2,000, but I would feel confident if I knew for sure that eBay would refund the purchase price if the camera never arrives. Please help. Thanks! Steve

Mentor9 months agoI realize that everyone has to start on eBay with zero feedback, but even with the buyer money back guarantee, do you really want to risk $2000 on a brand new seller?
I would vet the seller a bit more than asking about the guarantee here.
Where is the seller located?
Where is the item shipping from?
If the price is "too good to be true" are you really believing that a brand new users suddenly has a great item for that price?
Ask the seller a question or two through messages. Do they respond with clear information?
Does the seller have a big quantity of high priced items or is this a one off? If it is a collectible item, do they have many different items listed?
Yes, you are likely covered by the eBay money back guarantee, but it will take time and effort to collect. Are you willing to tie up the money for a month or more without the item?
What kind of camera is this? We see a lot of buyers asking about a camera that is a steal of a deal and it is usually a steal coming out of China.
